Digital marketing and media solutions leader Adobe asked Oculus to come up with a compelling way to share the findings of a study it commissioned on 180 retail websites with retail prospects. At the same time, it wanted to drive them to more information on Adobe’s Digital Marketing Suite.
We suggested the perfect vehicle – a video card – an attention-grabbing way to get prospects to sit up and take notice. This ultimate marketing tool puts the marketing message directly into the prospect’s hands – when one of these striking mailers arrives on your desk, it’s very difficult not to take a peek!
What we did:
- Created a storyboard, liaising with Adobe to ensure the messaging was spot on
- Provided scriptwriting
- Developed the video animation
- Arranged recording of the voiceover and mixdown of audio onto the video
The video that sits in these small cards uses crisp graphics and an engaging voice over to distil key messages into a compelling two-minute feature. The card is play on open, with the option to select other videos by clicking other buttons.
There’s also a QR code on the card, so recipients can access the report itself or via the URL supplied.
Although more expensive than a basic direct mailing piece, the high response rate means that ROI is significant, making this form of marketing a cost-effective option overall.
