New website reflects RIPA’s fresh ideas for cost-effective training

RIPA International (owned by Capita plc) offers a wide range of popular learning programmes, to help improve the effectiveness of public administration at home and abroad.

Following a recent brand refresh, RIPA International wanted to renew its dated website, which was clogged up with out-of-date copy and redundant pages. It asked Oculus to make suggestions for a rebuild that reflected the fact that RIPA International offers fresh ideas for cost-effective training, taking advantage of recent massive technological advances such as eLearning.

We stripped the content out of the website and transferred only live pages to create two versions: EU and International. Both feature a tailored home page, which loads specific information into the website – for example, course information, case studies and featured programmes of learning specific to area. Our redesign of the keyword search function means it’s now simple for visitors to search for courses and add them to their basket. Checkout takes customers to a form, submission triggers an email to Capita, and a representative then calls the customer to talk over the chosen course(s) and confirm all details are correct.

RIPA International is delighted with the clean, fresh website and because we’ve built it in Kentico CMS 6, it has full control over the back end. Updating the website is very easy, so they’re able to keep all the content relevant and up to date.

We provide ongoing services via a rolling service level agreement and we’re about to develop a mobile-optimised version of the website for a range of devices, including iPhone and Android.
