Ofqual was introducing a new form of internal assessment in schools and we wanted to help smooth the transition.
AQA, the largest of the three exam boards in England, asked us to produce a resource pack for its new GCSE science specifications. With the introduction of controlled assessment, AQA wanted to give teachers all the resources they would need to understand and deliver the new specifications. The materials need to work in harmony with AQA’s desire to communicate the ‘We’re Keeping it Simple’ messaging to reinforce the idea that AQA was providing assistance to teachers – giving them more time to teach.
As part of an overarching multi-subject customer care campaign, we designed a stylish direct mail piece in the form of a resource pack for science teachers to make the introduction of the new assessment as easy as possible. We ensured that the large amount of guidance and material was delivered in a structured, clear and easy-to-use format for delivery to almost 3,000 schools and colleges. We supplied other subject matter by email and landing pages on the AQA website.
